  1. lol yea they aren't build to work that way. you can't get the xbox to connect to the laptop to connect to the router thru the laptop.

simplest solution: get a wire for the xbox. ($20-50 depending on how long you need)

that said, the official 360 adapter is like 100 bucks. (d**n, ouch.) so if you know your wireless stuff, trying the previous poster's idea of getting an access point and configuring it might not be too bad.

  2. I bought a wireless access point (AP) from newegg.com for $31 + shipping, what you need to do is change its settings to an "AP Client" which will then connect to your wireless and you can plug your xbox straight into it.

This is the item I bought, and it works great:

Let me know if you have any problems

  3. the xbox wireless network adapter cost 70-100$ depends where you go or you can get one on eBay for around 30$  but make sure you are buying from a credible seller

    - i just got one they work perfectly fine if you have a decent wireless rotor if not  they are like 50$

  4. i heard the wireless adapter makes u lag out alot but idk thats just from the rumorbuzz around the XBL community
