Xbox warranty question

Ok, so i have an xbox 360, not uncommon, so if i bought my xbox in say june what's this about that on xbox.com that there's is an update and they extended the warranty to 3 years so do i have the warranty or not and if you can't answer should i call the 1-800-4my-xbox line and ask i'm confused please help

I got the extra 3 years for mine and I bought it before the update so you should get it to.
