Xbox360 elite and my home cinema system?

i just got myself a new 37" hd tv and the xbox360 elite and have a home cinema system thats 2 years old.

the dvds i play comeout in all speakers but when i hook my 360 up its onlt the front two.

i dont know what cables to put where.

at the moi i have the

hdmi cable :tv to 360

red and yellow cable: home cinema to 360(that port is audio in on the home cinema system).

but like i said having it that way only pplays sound in the front two.

i have changed my system settings on my 360 to use 5.1 sound but still the same.i can't find any settings on the home cinema tho

please help.i bought all this for like 2,500 and want it to work.

  1. setting on the xbox under options, Chang audio options


  2. Don't use the red and white cables for audio, go out and buy an optical cable, this should run from your 360 to you sound receiver, not your TV.

  3. Did you Elite come with the audio adapter?  Are you plugging the audio into a receiver or right into the TV?

  4. buy a digital fiber optic cable and run it into your receiver from the audio thingy that comes with elites or just buy an A/V receiver with HDMI inputs/outputs and just run your 360 in through that to solve all your problemos
