My college roommate got an xbox360 and I'm wondering if this tv will work with it. http://www.target.com/Haier-Wide-720p-HDTV-Player/dp/B000QC21KE/qid=1218828107/ref=br_1_1/601-2479813-4597746?ie=UTF8&node=10666911&frombrowse=1&rh=p%5F3%3A%24200-%24499&page=1

I don't want any game lag or a crappy picture.

If not this tv, any suggestions?

  1. yes that tv will work, but a 19 inch? thats really small to play xbox 360 on. what i recommend is any LCD HDTV over 30 inches because LCD is really good with gaming. It doesnt have burn-in, or screen glare or anything like that. My suggestions are the Sharp Aquos HDTV's with the Vyper Drive built in. They are perfect for gaming.

  2. Yes, it will....but Haier is a Chinese brand dude.....dont you want to step up quality....to a known brand and good japanese, american, british or german brand....

    Like pioneer or jvc -japanese

    runco - american

    thompson - british

    grundig - german

  3. idk buy maby invest in a larger one besides a  freaken 19 in

and do alot research i know u need high contrass speed i cant remember what some one said but i know u need high contrass if u going to game

and make sure its a lcd

  4. Any TV will be fine with the 360 - you won't get a crummy picture or game lag - those problems have long since been solved with newer technology.

I wouldn't recommend this TV.  TVs with built-in DVD players tend to break down faster since they don't usually use the best parts in the first place.

Second of all, what's the point of getting a HDTV with a plain old DVD player (which is NOT a HD format!)

Finally, many of these units lack additional A/V inputs, meaning you can't plug your Xbox (or anything else) into this TV at all!  I can't tell if that's true for this set or not - Target's crummy website doesn't give you any useful information about this TV - such as what inputs it has (if any)

Upscaling DVD players are cheap ($60-80) and standalone DVD players are even cheaper - any of those will be better than the DVD components shoved into this TV.  Besides which, the 360 itself can play regular DVDs and upscale them, so you technically don't need a separate DVD player anyways.
