Question:

Xc.... numb foot?

so i started cross country running for the first time three week ago and lately when i run my foot gets numb and i dont tie my shoes on that tight... any explaination?

  1. talk to a coach or docter about it.

    try tying your shoes looser

    it may be where you are running

    take a day or two off.


  2. it might be the circulation of blood(not because your shoes). ask your coach.  he/she'll probably know. i use to get that too.

  3. Even if you don't tie your shoes too tight, it is still most likely your shoes that are causing the problem.  If they do not fit properly they can cause all kinds of problems from blisters and numbness to calf and lower-back pain.

    You should get your shoes fitted by a shop that specifically sells running stuff.   They will look at your feet and the way you run and recommend shoes for you.  If you were fitted for your shoes at a running shop and you are still having this problem, then they should exchange them for you since they didn't get it right.  Most of the running shops that fit shoes for you will do this if the shoe they put you in isn't working out for you.
