Xen, my son, 10, asks now, to Soldiers, what food from MRE's is your favorite?

We have a friend, retired Sergeant of the Marine Corps, and Vietnam Vet sent us some MRE's. Weord thing is, my son loved it all, except the tabasco sauce, he doesn't like spice, and I found it all gross, except for the little bag of M and M's, so he would like to know what you like the best out of the MRE's?

It all depends on the generation of MRE's to which you refer, however, all things equal, my all time favorite was the Ham Slices. They were by far the closest thing to civilization I ever ate.

I'm not military (yet), but I've had more than my share of MRE's. I like Chili and Macaroni.

i think my husband is a spegeti fan as for me im an army wife but i love the cheese tortilini one for some reason MRE meat freaks me out but they are pretty good

I loved the Omelets and the Hot Dogs and both the Steak and Chicken bricks covered in salt and tabasco sauce. :)

oh the best is beef and bean borrito. here is a little history on MREs back in Vietnam my dad told me that they used to actually put cigarettes in the MRE packs

Most of them are pretty good nowadays. Tuna, Chili-Mac, and Chicken and Noodles are some of my favorites. Just keep him away from the Egg and Cheese omelette, that one will make you hate life.
