When driving at night I find cars with xenon headlights coming towards me or behind me very distracting . They seem to bounce around more and shine brighter in your eyes which I feel is dangerous . has anyone else noticed this ?

  1. I also agree.  They are a danger to everyone on the road near them.  Driving in the snow next to one of these self centered goofs sucks as they light up all the snow in front of me creating a blinding white wall.

I  tend to hit my brakes when one gets behind me so they will change lanes or use my remote mirrors to send the light ( and headaches) back them.

  2. I agree.

The problem is that DOT limits the headlights based on WATT rating.  But HID are about 3 x more efficient, making them about 3x time brighter for the same watt.

DOT needs to revise the way they limit HID lights output.

    Good Luck...

  3. I hate it too, and if it gets very bad behind me I have to drive very slowly to avoid dangerous situations..

my advice is- when a car is oncoming, slow down.

when one is behid you, get them to over take you, and if they stay behind, pull yourself closer to the steering wheel so that the light in the mirror is not reflected into your face.
