  1. Dahated is correct.  First thing to do is do a search for all your image files, jpg, jpeg, bmp, tif, tiff, gif, etcetera.  Unfortunately you can only do a search for only one type of image format (extension).  Say you do a search for the .jpg format;

    1.  In the file name box type "*.jpg" without the quotes.  The * is called a wild card that is used to mean any thing.

    2.  You will get a pretty long list of files in many different directories.  I would suggest sorting them alphabetically so you can determine if any of the files are the same name.  NOTE:  Some files may NOT be pictures you took, some may be computer images created for programs.

    3.  Select which files you want to move to a single folder, to do this click on the first file, then press and hold down the Ctrl key, while holding down the Ctrl key click on any other file you wish.

    4.  Once all the files have been selected, you can either click on the Edit menu and select either Copy, or Cut (Copy will only copy the files, Cut will Copy the files and actually cut them out of the directory they are in.  All copied or cut files will be stored on your computers clipboard... do not shut down your computer if you had cut the files... doing so will erase the computers clipboard!

    5.  Select one folder you would like to keep the pictures in, I would suggest the"My Pictures" folder that is kept in My Documents under your particular account on the computer.

    For instance, if I were you, my particular My Pictures directory will be:

    C:\Documents and Settings\KKJensen\My Documents\My Pictures

    Once you open the My Pictures folder click on the right side of the explorer  window to mark the contents of My Pictures folder, then you can click on the Edit menu and select Paste.

    Course there are easier ways of doing this without clicking on the Edit menu... just use the keyboard shortcuts;  Ctrl + C to copy, Ctrl + X to cut, and Ctrl + P to paste.

    I would strongly suggest you only Copy the files instead of Cut them, this way you can be sure to check the move before deleting the original files.

    Good luck!

  2. DO a search for  *.JPG  in your C:\  drive.

    All of your JPeg files will show up in the results window

    Select all

    and move then to your desired folder

    If you have gif files too search for *.gif

    *.bmp

    *.tiff
