  1. THEY ARE VIRTUALLY THE SAME OPERATING SYSTEM!

ONE IS NOT BETTER THAN THE OTHER!

THEY BOTH DELIVER THE SAME PERFORMANCE!

    DIFFERENCE:

XP Pro gives you more options for management and networking. Most of these options are pretty advanced, and your typical user doesn't need or use them anyway. It is geared towards power users and professional (corporate) environments.

Makes sense why it's called XP *Professional*.

If you're not planning on administering user account policies or doing any fancy networking schemes, stick with the less-expensive XP Home.

By the way, what does this have to do with scanners?

  2. Pro has remote desktop, home does not.

  3. Windows XP Home Edition would be a great choice for you if you use it at home, It is not outdated, they both have the same elements but, Pro has more in depth administrative tasks then home and mainly used for businesses and Power users. I use Home Edition and it works perfectly and less expensive then pro. and is widely used for your basic needs!!  I recommend home for ya!!! (Check link for more info)

  4. in XP home edition some thing will be there but in XP professional all things available & extra performance & all...

  5. xp pro

  6. lol, no. XP Home doesn't mean that it's the "home edition." XP Pro is a lot more popular and overall better than XP Home. XP Home is old and outdated.

  7. This(http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/arti... artical will help you understand the differences.
