Xpres Maite expected to win Twitter Handicap
Xpres Maite is keen to win Follow @Riponraces On Twitter Handicap by beating 19 rivals that include Free Art, Brockfield, Valantino Oyster, The Lodge Road, Moral Issue, Hail Bold Chief, Khandaq, Yorksters Prince, Pinotage, Searing Heat, Kyle Of Bute, Tazaamun,
Last Destination, Sinatramania, Transmit, Cosmic Moon, Rub Of The Relic, Celtic Step and Norton Girl.
The Class 5 contest over the distance of 1 mile, 1 furlong and 170 yards will commence at 2:40 (GMT). The winner will walk away with the cash prize of £2,911.
Xpres Maite is one of the most experienced runners of this card. The Roy Bowring-trained bay gelding has won 11 of his total 77 starts so far. The veteran horse’s last triumph came in his second last outing on December 27, 2011.
The nine-year-old talented gelding moved on to finish 8th against 13 rivals in his last outing on April 13, 2012. Considering his experience and capabilities, it is quite logical to predict that the son of Komaite out of Antonias Melody will surely
show a big run in the race. His chances to thrive are as high as 93 percent.
However, each one of Pinotage and Rub Of The Relic can give him tough time on the track.
Pinotage has won 2 of his total 17 starts so far. The Peter Niven-trained brown gelding last won on October 18, 2011. Since then, he has grabbed three thirds and a runner-up rank. Since the dawn of 2012, he has been out of action. So it is hard to prophesy
anything exact about him.
On the other hand, Rub Of The Relic marvellously finished first in his second last outing on April 24, 2012. The Paul Midgley-trained bay gelding moved on to finish 7th against 13 rivals in his last start on May 18. As a whole, he has 3 triumphs
to his name.
Though there is likely to be a rip-roaring competition but Xpres Maite will be able to turn the tables emphatically. The event will draw a big bankroll. Let us enjoy the splendid action. Good luck to all the contestants.
