Xu Chen and Ma Jin prove their supremacy on last day of Sudirman Cup 2013 – Badminton news
China’s experienced players, Xu Chen and Ma Jin, showed their supremacy on court and trounced Korea’s Ko Sung Hyun and Kim Ha Na in Mixed Doubles clash at the final day of Sudirman Cup 2013, which ended in Malaysia, on Sunday, May 26.
The in-form Xu and Ma, who have won all major title in the world of badminton, again proved their mettle and they easily overpowered their Korean challenger in the final contest of this prestigious tournament.
Chinese shuttlers did not show any sign of struggle in this Mixed Doubles clash. They were quite comfortable in playing attacking and controlled badminton and won the match in straight sets with a crushing margin of 21-13 and 21-15.
On the other hand, Sung Hyun and Ha Na failed to play positive badminton as they conceded many points by playing negative shots. They remained struggling all the way and bowed down to their mighty Chinese opponents in just 37 minutes.
The starting rallies of the match were interesting when both sides showed their tactical play. However, Xu and Ma paced up rallies and managed to set up a good lead at the initial stage.
Xu and Ma employed their superior skills in the arena and remained successful in getting a strong position by maintaining a considerable gap on the scoreboard.
Chinese duo did not show any mercy to their Korean challengers in the starting half and established a tremendous lead until the one-minute break.
After the one-minute interval, the lofty Xu and Ma remained focused in the arena and also controlled the pace of rallies with a wonderful ease.
Xu and Ma were composed in their play and they did not take much time in finishing up the first game with a spectacular 21-13 score on the board.
In the following game, the in-form Xu and Ma did not lose their grip over the pace of rallies and again took a comfortable lead until the break.
In the ending half of second game, the impressive Xu and Ma continued their positive and attacking play and they won the set with a completely commanding margin of 21-15.
