  1. Because of science.

  2. Actually....it goes way back when to street venders. Bakers uses to walk the streets and they carried them on a very long poles. It was a way for them to carry them in large amounts.

  3. So they can sell the holes and make more money

  4. Because they sell the punch out by the dozen??

As you wander on through life.

    Whatever be your goal.

Keep your eye upon the do nut

    Not upon the hole.

  5. maybe cuz doughnuts have a lot of fat and just by putting a hole there wouldnt be as much fat. also you can stick it through your fingers and eat it off of there.

  6. not all doughnuts have holes, just so ya know. I think it's a put it on your finger and bite it as you walk out the door kind of thing.

  7. because

  8. Because thats how the people who 1st started making donuts wanted it to look.

    ~Just keepin it reall :D

  9. well it used to be because if they were solid then the outer edges would be burned by the time the inside was done, or.. the inside would still be doughy when the outer edges were done correctly. to solve the problem, holes were cut into the center so a more even frying could be done, all of it got done at the same time without having a doughy center or burnt edges
