  1. There are several things that can cause a slice.....Lacking being able to see what you are actually doing...I'd advise a trip to a teaching pro.  He or she will be able to watch and address what you are doing real quick.

  2. your opening your club face during your swing.  Try slowing down and keep your lead arm streight.  There's some good help guides at http://www.golfguide.synthasite.com.  Ive used most of them and they helped my game greatly.

  3. Out to in swing path with an open club face.  Those two have to be present for you to slice the ball.

    Not difficult to fix.

  4. You are pulling acrossed it with an open face.

The ball will go from straight to right if the face is open.

The ball will start left, if you are pulling across it.

Combine the two together, and you get a slice.

Solution:  Instead of swinging acrossed it, swing the club away from you on the follow through.  If you look at your ball while in your stance, imagine a clock around the ball, 12'o clock would be facing your ideal target.  Swing towards 1'o clock and not 11' o clock.

If the ball keeps oging right, then make sure you get the club face back to square at impace.

  5. I spent almost two years trying to figure out how to stop slicing.  The whole time I knew what caused it (open face, out to in path) but could not figure out how to stop it.  After a half hour with an instructor I was able to hit it straight.  Now my struggle is to un-learn the muscle memory of two years of bad technique.

If I were you, I'd go to a pro right away and take a couple lessons.
