  4. Not all people hate Dhoni. He has a big fan following.

    As for those who hate him, there are a number of reasons.

    1. Some people just like to criticize others. So they hate him.

    2. Some are jealous of him as he attained great popularity in short time. So they hate him.

    3. Some believe that some other player should be the captain. So they hate him.

    4. Those who can't play as good as him, hate him as they can't accept other's success.

    And I don't think that poor background could be the reason.

    Why would anyone hate him for that ?

The reason why a lot of people hate him, in partcicular people who understand the game better like the australians and the english, believe he is very overated. im english, and a lot of indians were saying it was down to dhoni that india won the CB series, wrong, everyone knows and dhoni said it himself that it was down to sachin tendulkar than india won the cb series, india in the one dyers, especially after sehwag and dravid and ganguly aint in the side, rely heavily almost 50 percent on sachin to score runs, if they are to win in one dayers. plus he has one of the worst techniques ever. he bats like a spaz

  9. no one hates dhoni he is the best and if hes from poor background look at him now.they used to hate him when he told the selectors to remove saurav and dravid .and yes india have a selection commity

  10. Pretty simple actually

    * He has gained unbelievable fame in India, without doing that much. He is a good player, but he is overrated. Dhoni did one or two great knocks early in his Indian career and suddenly he's as famous as Sachin. The man is overrated, he does not deserve to be the highest paid player in the IPL

    * Other reason was disrespecting the older Indian players, by stating that he wants young blood in his team. Any person that insults players with as good a following as Ganguly isn't going to be liked by everyone

  15. No not at all. We don't hate anybody just because of poor background. On the contrary, people appreciate the fact that a guy from a poor background has achieved so much. That's why we appreciate Irfan Pathan. The reason why MS Dhoni is hated by some is that he has wrongfully, and ungratefully removed the senior players, especially Ganguly and Dravid from the ODI team, and has also created an unnecessary rift between the seniors and the juniors. Also, he is a very overrated player, and I don't really believe that he bats well. But it's a misconception that everyone hates Dhoni. There are many crazy Dhoni fans as well.
