According to CBS.com, "BILLY MILLER (Richie Novak on All My Children) joins the cast of Y&R as Liam, Amber's (Adrienne Frantz) mysterious boyfriend. His first airdate is September 19."

Can you believe this?! Wasn't he supposed to be playing Billy Abbott?!

Yeah! He was supposed to join as Billy Abbott; Wikipedia also states this. That is weird, but maybe they thought that bringing a new man for Amber into the picture would have more potential than another Abbott (who has ties to Jill)? I'm not sure...but it should be exciting!

I called that one !! I thought that would be a great way to bring Billy back . I figured if Amber had never met Billy, she wouldn't know that Liam wasn't his real name.

Maybe he is going to be Liam,but is using that as an alias. Billy Abbott was pretty sneaky and underhanded when he was on the show before, so I wouldn't put it passed him to give Amber a fake name. Chloe doesn't know Liam, because she told Amber she thought she knew all the trust fund babies. Chloe might know him as Billy, or maybe he lied to her too about his name. Because if he would have told Chloe his name was Liam, Chloe would have told Amber she knows him. Billy Abbott is probably going by many names. He is probably in trouble again by gambling and that is why he uses the fake names.

There maybe a bait and switch...because if he blowing off Chloe about the baby of course he would use a fake name so one would know he's in town especially Chloe and Jill

i am so glad now Amber can throw stuff in everyones face about how she has liam especially colleen who thinks her stuff does not smell . I hate that colleen girl she acts just like Brad . she makes me sick .

I don't know .. but I didn't like him much on AMC. I wish they would bring someone reallllllly handsome for Amber's boyfriend (not Richie) ... like someone who would take everyone's breath away.

I missed watching Y^R awhile back -- but I really like the Billy Abbott who was the old Victoria's real brother, in real life -- I wish they would bring him back.

Here's my prediction:

Liam is actually Billy Abbott. He's using an alias because of all the c**p going down with his family. He's trying to distant himself from the mess. He radomly met Chole had a one night stand. She also knows him as Liam and thought he was just some loser and decides to pass her kid off as Cane's. Little does she know Liam is Billy and she picked the wrong rich dude as her baby daddy. Liam also really knows that Chloe is Kate Valentine...Esther's daughter.

That's just my thought.

Oh I also read that Daivd Tom was in talks to come back as Billy...but also read Billy Miller was going to play him. Who knows?
