Y&R Opening Credits?

When are they going to add new characters to the opening credits of Y&R? Like Jana, Colleen, Lily, Amber, and Adam?

I was thinking the same thing, they have all these new people but have not added any of them to the opening credits.

It probably depends on their budget also whether they change the opening or not. I notice sometimes it is different actors that they show at the beginning. I think they should show different ones every so often to keep it appealing and exciting.

Can't remember if Sabrina was there either. I think l remember seeing Lily and Colleen being there.

Good observation, maybe they should show two different opening credits. That should be able to cover everyone.

I agree that they need to change the opening credits around a bit.  How ironic that Gloria was hogging the show while Phyllis was on the back burner at one point, yet we don't see Judith Chapman's images in the opening anymore, and Michelle Stafford is there every single episode.  I think Michelle is beautiful in her images, but let's give the girl a break here.  I'd love to see Judith Chapman in the opening again.  Also Kristoff St. John; I haven't seen him since before Victoria Rowell left.  Also, besides Phyllis (much as I love her, but again, we need to see less of her in the openings) I would also like to see less Jack and Brad (no Brad would be fine for me) and NO SharHo.

I think they want to keep the old format for now, but we'll have to wait until Jana, Amber and Adam have full contracts, and become more regular characters in meatier storylines.  As for Colleen and Lily, the future of their portrayers may sound uncertain.  I think I heard at one point that they were going to fired Tammin Sursock (Tammin SureSucks, according to some people) and Christel Khalil needs to be fired, in favour of Davetta Sherwood in the Lily role

Yes, I was just thinking of that too. It is definitely time for an update. However, I believe the characters have to be on there for a certain length of time before they can be in the opening. Sabrina was not in the opening. Also, Heather, the new Noah and Billy should be in the opening as well.

I would be disappointed if they changed the theme song, just because it's been the same song for so many years now, just with a different tempo every so often.

But, they definitely do need to change the characters around.

That's a good point, but my guess would be that they want Y&R to remain with it's "classic" opening titles which I like. I do however believe that I have seen Lily in the opening credits. I believe that you have to be on the show for some years in order to get in the opening credits. I miss seeing Malcolm, Dru, and especially Cassie in the opening credits.
