It's a sense of power over others. Kidnappers are more of a sense of entitlement. They feel they are entitled to the kid or the ransom money when the crime is just kidnapping. When the crime is kidnapping with other motives, then they are just sick. Some people are evil. Plain and simple. No one can really say why. Watch Most Evil on ID Discovery channel.
