Y are we paying the cable and satellite companies to watch the same thing,maybe different time?

i have been off work 4 3yrs and watch alot of t.v. and i'm tellin ya, it's bad if you just pay attention. i'm cancelling mine TODAY!

To watch the same thing as what?  Are you comparing the two or comparing them to antenna?

edit:  It depends on what you watch.  Yes, some channels are like that.  It can be annoying, but it also gives you plenty of opportunity to see those shows.  Not all channels are like that though.  Many of the channels aren't set up like NBC, ABC, etc. that pay for new shows.  With some of the "quality" programming the others are playing right now, I much prefer to watch the re-runs of the shows I used to watch.
