Nah, it's too big of a market for them.  Look at all the people here alone that are dedicated to the Big 3.  The races are just 1 big 3-4 hour commercial.

GM will be fine .Ford is doing way worse than them an they haven't dropped out yet. I am getting ready to buy a new truck and car just to help them out !

GM is going to have to reorganized under federal guide lines soon (unless bought out by Toyota) and the government most likely will slash the budget  if not eliminate the funds to NASCAR.  I rather see GM out of NASCAR than owned by another country
