  1. rote readers are all like that.

  2. good question - you should ask one, im not: they're all losers to me! (im athiest - if u haven't already guessed)

  3. Because the Holy Bible is still God's word.

  4. Brainwashing. They are taught to believe and not question it. Blind faith=gullible non-thinking believers.

  5. Quite simply,they don't.

They pick and choose which parts to follow.

  6. I'm a Codicologist. That means I examine ancient Greek and Coptic manuscripts and collate them into Greek and Coptic master texts, which are used by translators world-wide.

To do this requires going over every letter, every word, every phrase and every sentence while taking into account the context and the particular writers vocabullary and style.

I have been translating Greek for over 35 years and Coptic for over 20 years.

BTW. The copying and recopying of the Bible is not important. We have manuscripts thet date to within one  generation of the original writings. We have 72 New Testament Manuscripts that date from before 300AD and even more for the Old Testament that date ever further back.

  7. You have a false idea about the Bible. It has been rewritten in the means that many copies are done and new translations

Jesus confirmed the OT and it is really the same now as it was at the time of Jesus. He also promised the NT

We submit to the Bible but we all fall short

  8. Because we believe and trust in god with all our hearts and we believe and trust that he is always telling us the truth and trying to help us which he is.

    In Christ,

    Dara:)

  9. Never in history has such doubt and confusion over the Bible existed as it exists today.  Nothing has flamed the fire of confusion and doubt over the Bible more than scores of different translations flooding the bookshelves.

Satan's aim of attack hasn't changed. In Luke 8, Jesus Christ tells the parable of the sower, verses 11, 12 read, "Now the parable is this: The SEED is the word of God...THEN COMETH THE DEVIL, and taketh away the word..."

No wonder people are confused, but God is not the author of confusion Satan is.  There is one version of the Bible not covered or bound by copyright law and that is the King James Version.

As God promised He has preserved His Word for the English people in the King James Bible.  Proverbs 16:10 says, "A divine sentence is in the lips of the KING..." Ecclesiastes 8:4 says, "Where the word of a KING is, there is power..."  "James" is not an English word but a Hebrew word.  Did you know the Hebrew word for James is Jacob!  You'll never guess what Psalms 147:19 says, "He showeth His WORD unto JACOB....."

2 Timothy 2:9 reads, "...the word of god is NOT BOUND."  Anybody can freely print, distribute, and reproduce the King James Bible, without asking anybody for permission.  All other translations are "bound" by copyright laws.  New American Standard - copyright Lockman Foundation, New Internation Version copyright New York International Bible Society, New King James Version - copyright Thomas Nelson Publishers.  Who with a brain, would seriously think the Word of Almighty God is 'BOUND" by copyright laws?

Go to this website and read "The Attack on the Bible."

  10. None of them really do.  It would be impossible.  There are so many contradictions.

  11. They don't.  A majority of them have yet to even read the Bible.  The ones on here go to biblegateway.com, type in a keyword, and then copy and paste whatever scripture appears into their answer.  There is little to none knowledge used nor needed.

  12. The Holy Bible has not been rewritten!

  13. The Bible has not been rewritten.  It is the same as it was except different translations exist.

I try more to follow the spirit of the law and not the letter of the law.

  14. It's called ignorance. Some can't tell fact from fiction and end up protesting Harry Potter.

  15. I don't. I do it according to what applies. I don't construct a Noah's Ark; that's not for me. But, just like Noah, I follow whatever could be relevant for my times and circumstances.

  16. First of all the Bible has not been rewritten it as been re-translated into a more modern language. And Yes we try to follow Jesus; teachings, that is the whole point of Christianity.

  17. Because the Bible makes the claim about itself: 2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God", which would mean that not presuming all of it to be true would be an affront to God.

As fo the Bible being "rewritten so many times", perhaps you should research this a bit more; most Enligsh translations today are coming with input from manuscripts in Greek that date back 1600 years (consider the Syriatic Codex), and those may have been only a few copies from the original letters. Meaning, the English Bible you have is only one translation and a few copies from the originals, not "rewritten" many times at all in fact.

  18. I don't at all, but I do believe in a higher power.  The authors of the Bible did not expect to have humans question things and to think on their own.  They forced ppl to believe what they said, who to pray to and what to think. It worked back then, lets be honest humans were not very enlightened back then.

  19. If they followed the Bible word for word, right now they would all be stoning their rebellious children.

  20. They believe it to be the infallible word of God.

  21. they say inspiration by god.  but lets look at the anthologies of it.  see, interpretation of it can be racist and sexist.  allot of people turned to humanity to end racism.  if we could stay focus on humanity, sexism can end.

  22. no denomination comes close to following the basic rules of Scripture.

  23. We try, but it seems impossible to follow it to perfection. That's why God's grace exists, and why forgiveness is available to all who believe.

The letter of God's Word may change, but the Spirit of the Word does not. Jesus protects His own testimonies.

  24. I follow the Bible because it is the word of God. The Bible we have now matches what was originally written. Of course it has been copied many times because books and manuscripts don't last forever. We have some very old manuscript from both the old and new testament and we can see there have not been changes to doctrines that Christians follow. People that made copies were very careful to not make mistakes. Especially when they believed they were working with God's words to us.

  25. I'm Catholic and I don't follow the Bible word for word because it wasn't meant to be followed WORD for WORD. It's meant as a guide line. The most important thing is how you treat yourself and other people.

  26. I have yet to met somebody that follows the bible word for word. They seem to follow what is convenient to them
