Y do i want to eat like ALL the time?

so i'm 13, and dont want to eat a lot because i'm scarred to gain weight, but i'm like always wanting food.

i'm not the skinnist person but i would like smaller theighs and lower stomach.

I run and workout a lot and eat 3 big main meals a day.

i just dont understand y i suddenly am craving food... help?

  4. ohh. trust me, the same thing happens to me. i eat ALL THE TIME. but i'm still really skinny. its ok. its just a phase. you will grow out of it. if it helps, when you are craving food only eat like healthy food, like salads or veggie pizza. also, if you aren't vegetarian, eat lots of chicken and turkey.

  5. Quite simple accually. Just eat healthy foods. :-) Next time somebody goes grociery shopping, tag along and say, "Look, I don't care if you want your frozen pizzas and hotdogs, we're getting healthy food, and you won't stop me." That'll get them to buy healthy foods. lol.

  6. It's your hormones. I advise waking up, eating a small breakfast (such as a granola bar), give it a couple of hours and eat a bigger breakfast (such as cereal), eat lunch, mid-day snack, and supper. Don't eat within an hour before going to bed and exercise.

    Rather than eating 3 big meals, try eating 5-6 small meals. That would make you feel full for most of the day and you wouldn't overeat. At the same time, your metabolism rate is raised higher and you will burn more calories doing nothing.

  16. Could be what you are eating (high glycemic foods).  Choosing low GI carbs - the ones that produce only small fluctuations in our blood glucose and insulin levels, will help you from feeling "starved" or hungry all the time.

    Try eating 4-6 smaller meals a day.  Make sure you get plenty of fiber in your diet.

  18. You are growing now faster than ever before!  You need to eat to do this.  If you are a little over weight start by cutting back the late night eating.

  21. Well, you are craving food because you are (likely) going through puberty. This increased intake of food will result in an increase of weight, AS WELL AS height. So don't worry about gaining weight, this is all normal! Just as long as you eat right and exercise properly, it's all good.

    You said that you eat "3 big main meals a day". Try to make breakfast "the main meal" as it is the most important meal of the day.

  22. Hey, you're only 13 so you're still growing. So long as your don't eat really unhealthy I don't think it's a problem. Additionally, if you find something to really hold your interest and occupy your time, you probably won't be thinking about eating as much.

  24. Instead of eating 3 big main meals a day, eat 4 to 6 small meals a day.  This will prevent you from being hungry between meals.  Also make sure you are eating plenty of protein throughout the day and drink plenty of water.
