Because they get paid about 5 times more than in Poland and so can have a better standard of life.  Poland has a shortage of workers as many are coming to England, and there is a worry that when the Polish wage increases to attract them back then they will leave England.  That would be bad for our economy as the money they earned here would be spent in Poland, rather than being spent here to help our economy, or something to that effect

Even if your British complain all the time about your country, it's still a "paradise" for many foreigns (like me), because there's plenty of work for people who really are hard worker, health is better, less coruption, better lifestyle, more opportunities...

Wouldn't you migrate for that?

I did 12 years ago, and wouldn't want to go back to live to France (yet my country is not as bad as Poland)

They can earn a lot more than they can in Poland, the ones I'm work with are saving every penny, they a trying to buy their own apartments back in Poland. They nearly all intend to return to Poland and live with mortgage...

I'm English by the way and work in Ireland so I too am an economic migrant...so to start working in Israel.....

Because they can make the same money they make in a month in one week in the UK.

Its sad because the Polish who immigrated after World War 2 learnt English and became British whereas the latest ones aren't, they are opening their own shops, publishing papers in their own language etc. and are not integrating.

Its time to stop it now. The bleeding heart liberals say its good for our economy. Believe me the vast majority of Eastern European migrant workers are not paying tax. They drive un taxed un insured dangerous vehicles. They live in dangerous housing conditions. They bring diseases like TB with them. The bank of England recently announced that there 1.5 billion pounds of £50 pound notes missing in circulation and it is their opinion that the money is now in Eastern Europe from the Black economy where people are exploiting them and paying in cash. Our island is full time to shut the door

Because if they work here for a day, they'd earn as much as they would if they worked a week in their own country.  That's why they are generally willing to work for less than minimum wage etc.

Also the UK will let anyone in & they also get free benefits.

To work hard and build better lives for themselves and their families. Also, do not forget that there is already a large Polish community in the UK, going back to the Second World War.
