It gives people hope that they will be financially free. Just like people gamble at a casino, most of the time they loose. I've heard that 95% of lottery winners go more into debt then they were before they won the lottery. I'm live in Utah where it is illegal to gamble and we don't have a lottery but alot of people drive out of state to get their lottery tickets. Aren't the lottery tickets only like $1 or something anyway?

cause the hope that by winning once they will get rich. They the mentality that creating wealth is like striking lottery. While the rich spend time to bulid their wealth
