Y does every generation change for the worse and not for the better?

My mother used to complain about y my generation when I was a kid is so terrible and I used to argue w/ her about that. Now I feel so guilty about fighting w. her over that b/c at least when I was growing up, I didn't need to worry about having a gun held to my head when I went to school each day. I alos would never try to beat up my parents the way the kids beat them up now. First of all, I never would even think of doing such a thing as raising my hands to them, and if I did only 1/4 of the things the kids do to their parents, my father would have my head. Also, what's this all about teachers having s*x w/ students? I don't recall that going on when I was still in school, or teachers who rape students. I grew up in the 80's, and the worst thing u had to worry about happening to u was being afflicted w/ HIV or drunkdriving, and a lot of kids back them would cause revelries. I'm not saying that's so great either, but my mother didn't need to b concerned about sending me to school

  1. every 5 years , it change rapidly ; which sometime people don't understand.

  2. The reason for this is because we are in the end of days.  The bible is very clear about these things happening.  In 2nd Timothy, I don't remember what chapter it talks about how the love of men will wax cold, children will disobey their parents.  The bottom line is that since we are in the end of times we will see the generations get worse until Jesus returns to make everything right again.  But until then the best thing we can do as believers is set a good example to this generation and follow Christ with our lives.

  3. It would not be fair for God to judge us without us knowing what we are Guilty of.

It is becoming painfully clear what we are all guilty of.

I thank God that He has provided a way that I would be forgiven my Guilt and not be Judged.

  4. Indeed, the world is getting darker and darker in these last days. But have no fear, for the church is getting brighter and brighter. "For the path of the righteous is like a shining sun that shines ever brighter unto that perfect day." (Proverbs 4:18)

Our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back soon, in the midst of darkness in the world.

"Arise, shine; for your light has come!

And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.

For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,

    and deep darkness the people;

But the Lord will rise over you,

And His glory will be seen upon you.

The Gentiles shall come to your light,

And kings to the brightness of your rising."

    (Isaiah 60:1-3)

The Lord is our light and our salvation, the stronghold of our life. Peace be with you, sister.

  5. History is linear, a uniformity of cause and effect in an open system.

When a generation goes bad (apart from the norm), history tends to correct itself. The pendulum swings too far and must swing back. We had a short period of near anarchy in the American West, but civilizing aspects quickly moved in and law and order thrived. Before that, vigilantism played an important role in controlling behavior.

Also, in colonial America, family justice was the norm. The family unit was expected to control itself.

Without the force of law, humans revert to barbarism very quickly, and I believe that is what we are witnessing today — unchecked personal autonomy can wreck a culture.

We could clean up our problems with the force of law, but are unwilling to forfeit certain personal rights in order for this to occur (do we want the government to be able to tap our phones, read our mail, etc.? Of course not!)

Do we want a government that resorts to summary justice and imposes severe sanctions on minor infractions? I'll give you an example:

My uncle was in North Africa during the early part of World War II. The French were in charge of the area he was assigned to. Some of the American troops accused a young North African boy of stealing from the barricks. The French found the lad and took him right out and shot him.

My uncle says the Americans felt bad about this and wished they hadn't reported the theft. But, on the other hand, you couldn't really blame the French because there was only a handful of them in charge of a million North Africans. They had to maintain strict order.

I wouldn't be too quick to say things are going bad because we must be in the Last Days! History does not support this hypothesis! True, Jesus and Paul did say that in the last days things will be bad, but they've been bad before.

In a sense, you could say, we are in the last days and have been ever since Jesus' time. Or even since Adam's time because the Bible tells us the times of man are finite.

  6. It all started in the late 60s and early 70s. When the atheists went to the supreme court to have god removed from our schools. As time went on each new generation had God removed from more and more aspects of our society and culture. Until now when God has been all but completely removed from our society.

It seems as though you can promote just abut every religion under the sun except Christianity. With out God's Word as a basis of right and wrong. By what measure do we use to determine right from wrong.

In a nut shell that is the reason each successive generation is worse than the previous generation.

    God Bless

  7. I agree with you somewhat, but your statement is only partially accurate. I DO agree that the bad stuff kids are doing today is worse than the bad things kids were doing when we were growing up (I also was born in the 80s). However, at the same time you need to realize that the only things you are considering is what is reported on the newsand other media outlets. I couldn't imagine ever beating up a teacher, or some of the other things you mentioned. If you think back, Columbine was in 1999, which was my senior year of high school. That was a total masacre, and that would be consider the same generation that we are. Columbine could actually be the event that put the ideas in the minds of kids today to try all this crazy sh*t.

  8. Wores 100%

  9. Yes, you are right in noticing something wrong with this present generation.

The Bible has already prophesied about this 'end-times' generation and society:

"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."  (2Timothy 3:13 KJV)

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves covetuous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

    Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."  (2 Timothy 3:1-5 KJV)

  10. I was born in the early 60's...we could be outside playing until the sun went down if it wasn't a school night. I lived in the country. We never had to lock our doors or our vehicles back then. I believe all this started when they took prayer out of the schools, took away a parent's right to correct their children. I'm not talking abuse, just correction. Teachers cannot correct a student, a lot of kids these days only have 1 parent. There are no more moral values or concern for others. People need to open their eyes and see what's happening. It is a bad situation.  Peace

  11. All signs of the end times...

Mat 10:21  And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
