about half id say of the people who answered didn't care about global warming, or didn't believe in it

your wrong my brother is 15 and into elections and polities. he plays football and has honor classes.

their are teens who are like that. just best their are not on TV doesn't mean their are not in real life.

I'm 18 and care for somethings the election because i can vote, and teen s*x education because parents need to stop being whips

I made that question, because I wanted to see if teens on average cared about things thesse days.

My older family members are contstantly telling me how easy our life is compared to how it used to be. If I had a nickel for everytime my mother said: "When I was a kid, I always did that, you *insert string of profanity*"...

So I wanted to see if normal teens had these carefree and ignorant lives that my parents think we are living.

I think teens don't care about world issues because it won't affect them. Who cares who's President? I'm not even American and I care, because the leader will have so much influence. Right now, I support Obama, but I don't know enough about McCain's platform to really decide.

Anyway, onto your question. Like I said before, they think it won't affect them.

One answerer above said "It won't affect us for 10 or 20 years anyway." So are you saying that as long as it's not a problem right now, your kids can suffer. Or when your parents are elderly, their lowered quality of life is okay.

I agree that it's sad how many people don't care. Even is global warming is a huge "hoax", we are still damaging the planet, and exhausting finite resources.

P.S. Whoever is hating on Smart cars, they did a safety test. Mercedes is known for being pretty safe. So when you smash a Benz into the side of a Smart Car, it's bye-bye smart car? Well the Smart Car was barely dented, and the Benz had a crushed front bumper.

I think teens today, in general, need to learn more about the world, or even their own countries. It always makes me ticked off when I ask someone "What party do you support?" and I get "Conservative. That's what my dad says is good."

We need to know enough to make our own opinions, even if not everyone agrees on them.

Because scientifically its still a theory, nothing has been proven. Why do you think thirty years ago they dropped the idea of global cooling? Its just a scam, a political scare. Democrats use it to scare the people into thinking there is some deadly consequence for not driving a smart car, (death trap) using overly expensive and overly dangerous compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFL) and among other things.... continue to support them. The EPA will be the next police. Its ridiculous because the idea of finding new sources of energy aren't ways to be good Stewart's of our planet, its just a way to put the big oil companies out of business because the democrats are a bunch of neo socialists who hate big business.

they dont care about global warming because they just dont, it isnt a pressing issue, which gore would love us to think, but it will take at least 10-20 years for there to be an obvious enough impact for us to care, its like armagedan, noone cares beacuase noone knows anything about when its going to happen, and you should do a bit of research yourself idiot, if we reverse the effects of global warming to quickly we will cause another ice age due to the less noticable but more dangerous global cooling, caused by particles in the atmosphere than block th suns rays and prevent a large part of africa getting their annual rainy season, another thing, people arent gonna throw away the d**n "eco-freindly" new light bulbs nd we're gonna flood our oceans and river with mercury again, and the hot and cold stages in history can vary by a lot, this one is barely different, maybe 10 degrees at the most, and how come winter is lasting longer and longer yet the worlds supposed to be gettingf warmer, and another thing, how come noone ever noticed this dangerous kkiller before al gores d**n mysticism and predictions, and anyway, theres nothingf we can do to reverse this trend, the carbons there, its not going away for a LONG time naturally and theres nothing we can do get rid of it, so who cares

well i dont believe that global warming is going to end the world and that its our fault. i believe we should take better care of the planet but not have to be scared into doing it. im 13 btw. and also the average temperature went down 1 again. plus the earth goes through coolings and warmings. in the 70s they thought there would be an ice age? now global warming

well for your information I'm 18 and i care allott about this stuff.

What do you think of:

1. The American Presidential Election:  So glad hilary dropped out, really wantMcCainn to win

2. Global Warming:  there is proven fact that global warming would of happened on its own even with out the people acting as acataractt.  someone is makingallott of money on thosefluorescentt bulbs

3. Teen Pregnancy:  Schools need to hand out condoms to pevent this.  I am against abortion, however if a teen was raped, that is understandable..they should have the baby and put it up for adoption if they can't take care of it

4. Downloading Music:  I understand both sides of this, i understand why the artists would be mad because people are taking their hard earned money by not paying for the music, but then again lime ware is si easy to access, its hard not to download free music

5. Cliques: so overrated, do any highschools really have these any more?

1. Save money to go to university/college? No because I pay rent.  I live on my own and have no time to go to school because im working two jobs to support myself

2. Have a job? yes i have two

3. Try hard at school?  I did. I already graduated highschool just about 2 months ago

4. Buy you own stuff? (Such as electronics, clothes, etc.) yes indeed i do, i do get gifts from my parents once in awhile, like if i can't afford somethins super exspensive they will help pitch in

5. Do lots of chores?  Well i do what i have to, to make my apartment liveable: dishes(dont have dishwasher),my own laundry, I do things that are necessary, i no longer consider them as chores but thing i need to do to get along in life

1. Done drugs? yes back in the day...experimented but never got addicted, wasnt my thing

2. Drank alcohol? yes, i hate beer, but i do like the harder alcohol, however im not a bog fan of either

3. Been depressed? yes actually im bipolar, depression and being bipolar go hand in hand

4. Been scared for your life? Not phisically, but i have gottencscared of getting into trouble with my parents

5. Carried a weapon for personal safety? yes..pocket knife, i like to go on runs and night because the air is cooler

What's the best and worst choice you've ever made?

best choice:  Getting my own place, its the best because I finally have a place to call my own and i don't have to worry about parents butting into my life and telling me what to do.

Worst choice:  leaving my parents house too early.  I left my parents house when i was 17 and had school i had to finish up, and a job i had to get myself too.  I left my parents home too early and i've had touble with moving into places eversince

I think it's completely inconsiderate for you to target all of the teenagers. I am 15 and am well aware of issues such as the election, global warming, the war, abortion, stem cell research, ETC. I know that a lot of kids my age could care less about these things, mostly because they have no idea how to interpret them. However for you to say ALL teens are ignorant is quite saddening.
