Y is shaq careless when he shoots free throws?

cant believe the spurs succeeding in the hack-a shaq strategy. y does he throw the ball one handed, instead of trying to release it like everyone else. never mind this:

Shaq just plain cant make freethrows. I think that being tall, he never bothered to refine his shooting. With the exception of Yao Ming, Dirk Nowitski, Amare Stoudemeire, and Lamar Odom, big men in the NBA cant shoot for ****. Shaq aint careless, he just doesnt have a good shooting form and cant aim.

Shaq can't shoot the ball. He is a dunker and a shot blocker.

Its not his fault. He has HUGE hands and cant grip the ball. If a you took a tennis ball you would have a hard time shooting it because you cant grip it. Its pretty much the same thing for shaq

its not that he is careless but he weighs over 350 pounds and he is trying to put a ball into a hoop that only weighs 20 ounces. He is not going to be a dominance in everything. And at 350 pounds I think he has every right to suck at free throws.

Well he may look like he is careless but trust me he care.  He just not very good and it doesn't look like he give much effort.  But what effort does anyone need to shoot free throw?  I think he tried and practiced a lot but realized that free-throw is not something he's good at and probably gave up long time ago.

O'neal has really poor technique shooting free throws in the first place.  Add to that the fact that he's so strong and you have a recipe for disaster.
