  1. i guess that it isn't looked upon as serious and it doesn't have players from ALL over, just wealthy countries

  2. okay, for the people who said it's about athleticism and being a sport, then why are they considering bowling as an olympic sport?  And there is a level of skill involved, not everyone can play at a competative level.

  3. I'm curious too.

    Billiards rocks!!

  4. because only SPORTS are allowed in the olympics

  5. They should make it an olympic sport. However you can not be or ever have been  a professional pool player to be in the olympics. I remember when this people in a bar tryed to stop me from entering this pool tournament. They said no professional players. I won the tournament every week for three years so I could understand there concern. But that isnt my problem. So asked them to define a professional pool player or prepare to be sued. No one can legally define a professional pool player or prove it for that manor. So you can see the dilema.

  6. because the olympic people are prejucdice against pool players

  7. The answer Gilligan, is that all Olympic contests are based on one thing, athleticism.  The sports in which require alot of cognitive thinking just wouldn't be "fun" to watch on your t.v.  However, I agree with you.  I believe it is a world sport, not just in rich countries either.  Granted, it's not soccer, but it is famous.

  8. pool is definitely a sport just as much as baseball you must have math skills an great eye hand coordination  math meaning angle of deflection % of spin  a lot of angles involved just not a big sport to watch to slow no $$$$ for the $$$ hungry Olympic committee. If you find a way they could make a lot of $$$ or ticket sales  you would see them play.  For the people that say pool isn't a sport ask them what the h**l is curling then??
