I must say I fell victim to thinking about experience over issues that our presidential hopefuls possess. Now I see the irony in this whole situation. No one is talking "issues" everyone is talking "experience, gender, bickering bewteen the two parties." what about where they stand for improving this nation?

From what i've learned about both parties I've chosen not to vote!

  1. If you don't vote, you are saying that you are fine with whomever gets elected, and you don't care about their policies.  But I do agree with you that everyone gets caught up on all these stupid little things that make absolutely no difference.  Who cares about flag pins, fist bumps, age, experience or names?  None of those things shows how either candidate will run the country.  Experience is the worst by far. Absolutely no one has experience running the country unless they have been the president before.

The best thing to do is vote for who you think is the lesser of the two evils.  You are then at least exercising you voice.

  2. I hear your point Bill and to a certain extent, I agree.

However not voting at all is wasting the chance to register your distaste.

Better if you vote for an unlikely outsider. In England we had a candidate called Screaming Lord Hutch - he was never going to get in he was a complete looney, in fact his party was called the Monster Raving Looney Party! (or something similar)

A vote for him was a way to show your utter indignation with the whole corrupt process.

    I miss Lord Hutch.
