not only do you hate the chinese, but now you are also mocking the indians.  Where do you get the idea that india is all dancing and singing ? From the bolywood movies?

I suggest that you do a little bit of traveling and see the world - rather than just making generalisations from hearsay. Trust me, traveling really opens your mind, which is what you really need.

then a city to host the next games is voted for by the members of the Olympic committe

Hosting jobs for the Olympics are not given to a city as a task. They need to submit bids to the IOC, bidding cities are then lowered to 4 0r 5 now called as candidate cities where they choose the host. The answer to your inquiry is that India is not bidding for the Games.

I think India isn't bidding to host the olympics. And moreover, do you think India would be able to conduct any mega event properly? With all the traffic woes, the terrorist attacks, the poor infrastructure, I highly doubt that India has the capability to hold such an important event.

I wish the situation would change one day and we'd have the pleasure of having legends like Elena Isinbayeva and Michael Phelps perform in our country.

Perhaps India did not bid to host the olympics. Maybe singing and dancing are not olympic events and thats why India are not interested.

Don't take tension.India is bidding for 2020 Olympics and London and Sydney are backing it.

To sleepless in Tokyo,don't underdemine india by calling it third world country.

Mexico is also a third world country,yet it hosted Olympics.

India didn't bid for any...

There are many things need to be considered when submitting a bid, and even more for the committee to consider to award the bid.

Two major concerns I don't think it is working in Indian's favour, one is budget, I think at the moment the Indian government rather spend the money on other infrastructure instead. Secondly it is the security, at the moment it is very risky for India to host such a big event.

I heard India is bidding for 2020, and I hope they will get it.

Delhi is going to bid for the 2020 olympics.

They are allready hosting the commonwealth games in 2010.

They have had an olympic committee since 1927
