  1. Ok, i live in the town magic mountain is in for all 15 years of my life

and i will tell you. THEY ARE ALL FALSE

there are rumors that itl just be torn down for housing

wich is false, we have alot of historic coasters and such good tourism from the park

i remember every possible rumor there has been in recent memory, nothing is happeneing to the park, not now, not ever

  2. Magic Mountain has always been the cause of injuries - especially back and neck trauma.  I rode the one in Florida when I was in my middle 20s and my back was jammed so severely I had trouble getting off the ride, then walking, and I was in great pain.

  3. The new (as of late 2005) CEO of the Six Flags corporation, Mark Shapiro, didn't see Magic Mountain as the type of park that fit his "vision" of what he wanted his parks to be like, so it, along with 5 other parks, were put up for sale.  The plan was to sell the park as it was, and to keep it open.  Within a few months, I guess he changed his mind, for reasons I don't think he's publicly stated.  The other 5 parks were all eventually sold and continue to operate as so today.

Either way, he's begun to make his mark into turning the park more into what he thinks it should be: attractive to families.  Many rides with low ridership and/or high maintenance costs have been removed, and are being replaced with less expensive rides, some of which are family-appealing.
