Y wont saudi do somthing about its forces?!?

saudi forces need to be strong , i mean i love how egypt and iran are GREAT powers in the middle east and israel , but isnt saudi , what the h**l are they doing with 24% OF THE WORLDS OIL???? ......Its not like there putting it for the ppl , why? thank u :-)

Iraq had the worlds 4th largest army at the time, The US had the 6th. Iraq was a military dictatorship. They revolved around war. Of course a Peaceful country like Saudi Arabia wouldnt be able to stand up to them.

Egypt is not that strong either, The Israelis were still able to drive all the way down the Sinai peninsula and over the Suez canal, and came within 60 miles of the Egyptian capital before the Egyptians agreed to a peace treaty. The Israelis were also fighting a Syrian invasion to the north at the same time but came out on top of both of them.

There are not really any Military powers in the Middle east besides Israel any more, The Arab governments are no longer obsessed with war.

Because they do not have the population for it.  Iran and Egypt have large populations to build a military on.  Saudi almost has more foreigners in it then Saudis... much like Kuwait.

A big problem that Kuwait had in 1990 was that most of thier military was foreigners.  They only had a limited stake in things when Iraq invaded.

they are scared. whoever has the oil has the power.that's how it is in this world.  the top notch leaders are scared of the people not being scared and wanting everything, even power.  they don't want them to be able to do anything without  some sort of security every 20 blocks.  this is their weakness. and this is why they aren't and can't be strong.
