Question:

YA is taking over Teen's lives?

As in when teens are ready to engage in sexual activities or do other things. One person might say they're moving too fast, and another too slow. I really thought about it and it's more stressful to use some people's advice off of here because you might feel completely different and you feel doing certain things are right/ready but aren't sure if it really is. Do you think teens need to learn life lessons on their own or use YA as a crutch when they need it? I'm a 16 year old teen, and this has been on my mind all day.

  1. Pretty much the only thing I learn on YA is stuff about books and movies. Most of the people think so differently than me on here, I would never take their advice on anything serious like that.

  2. thats a really intresting thought.

i think that for most things teens (like myself) need to learn on their own how to deal with situations.

However, for smaller questions, like how to earn some extra money or what haircut to get, i think that there isn't really a problem with asking people on YA.

  3. On thier own. Following what yahoo answers says is like following what your best friends distant cousin says. In other words , Listening to strangers for advice is stupid.

I learned on my own and i'm doing fine.

I only ask questions on here when its something nobody i know knows very much about or i can't get in contact with the person who does.

  4. i feel dumb but what is YA?

  5. No, I don't do ever exactly what I am told to do. But I take in conciderations... and it usually all works out... I don't know....

It doesn't take over my life.

  6. No, I have a life separate from YA!  Thank you and good day.

  7. i read a lot of things on here that should be solved by common sense. haha like a 14 year old asking if its right for them to get pregnant.... wtf.....

  8. on their own.

i learned on my own, and from my parents.

they told me all the stuff they did.

and I kinda learned from them that it wasn't a good idea.

however, sometimes this is a good place for advice, sometimes not.

most people behind a keyboard they can be the meanest and most critical ever. When really, they aren't. Its just that no one else can tell them what to do behind a keyboard.

    i don't know.

    just my prospective.

  9. Learn on their own and get advice from people they know in real life.

  10. no...ur just an idiot

  11. I think their parents need to be the ones parenting them, and supervising all activities, such as dates, internet, and everything else.

  12. y!a is everything you know
