Y!A stalker?!!?

Question

I just asked a question in diet and fitness and someone answered saying that I am too open in my questions and that they even knew my full name. Now I know that I am pretty open in questions and that I have made a few remarks a couple of months ago about my surname but this user has only been a member for 2 weeks. I've had my questions private for a while and she is not a contact. I think she is a past contact of mine but it's starting to freak me!!

What should I do?

I wouldn't worry about too much, probably harmless.

I wouldn't worry to much about it, your probably just overreacting. Just write down the persons name and keep an eye out for them. If they keep bothering you, then report them.

This has happened to me - it's not nice, but don't freak out too much.

Unfortunately, there are some sad lost souls on here who's lives are so empty this is how they pass their time.  

Block and ignore - that's all you can do.

She could have an older account that she knows you from, or it could actually be a person you know (perhaps a friend) that is just trying to mess with you.

Try not to expose anymore personal information and keep your questions as simple and possible... I agree with the other answers, report them and if she gets in contact with you don't respond back.

Better to be safe than sorry!

EDIT: why not change your nickname/Avatar? that way she won't be able to distinguish who you are...

Report them to Yahoo.  It's illegal and an infringement of privacy.

But please be careful what you say about yourself in questions.  If you don't want someone to know it, don't say it.

Calm down and report them to Yahoo! Answers if you're really worried...but don't report them yet, because they could be kidding...if they didn't actually say your full name, they probably don't even know it. Good luck!

Report them to yahoo, just to be on the safe side and make sure that you keep your Q/A's private. If you want to be really sure delete your account and mae a new one but being more carefull with what you write in the answers.

try not to worry, as long as u dont give out too much now. i dont think she can come out of the screen and hurt you, but if she does, do get some help from the local police dept. good luck

she is in your fan list coz if you arnt a contact then you cant see questions and answers set to private but if they add u as a contact i.e. they will appear under your Fan's list, then they can. block her if it freaks you out. go to her profile and click on 'block user'. i had one. it was horrible.

As your contact, I must answer htis question in your time in need haha.

Now listen, maybe you should not talk as much about your personal self, not saying your full name and such. It may help. I looked at the question, and she just is stalking your questions not you.  She just knows your full name because of something you said. It's okay. Don't worry. maybe send Y!A an e-mail!! GL!!
