I work in a Workshop so could get my friends to help me fix it, but if you could give me around the price of repair costs excluding labour that would be awesome =]

"YAMAHA RD 125 LC MK1.

I BOUGHT THIS BIKE AS A PROJECT BUT I DO NOT HAVE ANY SPARE TIME TO COMPLETE IT.

IT IS 99% ALL THERE THERE ARE A FEW SMALL PIECES MISSING EG: CHAIN,HANDLEBARS,SEAT LOCKS AND I THINK THAT IS ABOUT IT.

THE REASON THAT I HAVE NOT COMPLETED IT IS BECAUSE MOST OF THE BUILD HAS BEEN DONE BUT IT NEED THE WIRING HARNESS FITTING AND TO BE HONEST I DID'NT KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN NOT MY STRONGEST POINT ELECTRICALS.

I ALSO HAVE THE V5 IN MY NAME AND THE ENGINE AND FRAME NUMBERS MATCH THIS.

SO IF YOU ARE AFTER AN 80'S CLASSIC THEN THIS IS FOR YOU.

THESE ARE BECOMING A MUCH SORT AFTER MOTORBIKE NOWADAYS AND RARE."

  1. sounds like you could get it finished for under $500..

  2. just buy it...bits are cheep...ive bone a few in the past...one went for £1400 once i finished it..exellent bike.

  3. probably around 3-500 bucks would complete it, i bought an old triumph that was like that and the guy was so close to having it done that i couldn't figure out why he didn't finish it,i spent around 400 on it and got to take ride on it the other day ,you should be able to get that one going fairly cheap, one thing that helps is you have most of the parts to do it with, good luck.

  4. my brother in law is in the process of restoring an RD 250 and parts are like hens teeth to find, he has had to spend bucket loads to acquire some parts, he can't get a seat for love or money, so you're spot on that these bikes are becoming rare, and my advice to you to optimise your earnings would be to sell it as parts on E bay
