YAZ birthcontrol, quick question?

well i went to the doctor to start YAZ today. ive been on the shot since ive had my son (2 yrs) and i hated it..so i stopped and switched. i do NOT reccoment the depo to ANYBODY! anyways she told me it takes a week to take effect? but on the paper it says to use a backup method for a month?..has anyone else taken it? and what did they tell you? does it take a week or a month to take effect? because im hearing different things all around? thx!

I was on yaz and it messed me up bad. I advise to be on them for a month to make sure that your cycle goes with that of the pack just to be on the safer side.

I got pregnant on this pill and I took it everyday, I'd be careful...although we are all different.

So yeah I'd follow the pack advice if I were you

well i think all birth control pills need to be in your body a month or so for you to get used to them. i'm not on YAZ but.. i'm pretty sure it's the same for all the pills.
