For a whole year is it only available through scholarships?

No. Anyone can apply for placement through YFU. There is an application process that you go through, including an interview with a YFU rep. You can also apply for scholarships to help you pay for the program.

Check with your school counselor to see if any YFU students are currently enrolled in your school. If so, contact the local rep. If not, here's the e-mail address. You can get application information line and the organization will have a local person contact you.
