YZ85 rebuilding question?

if i get my yz85 03 will i have to rebuild it i will be riding it about 10 hours a week because i don't know how to rebuild one and my dad he doesn't know and 2 strokes have stopped selling and i don't wont and 4 stroke is there only little parts that i will have to change or do i have to rebuild the whole engine and what is 2 stroke top end power and bottom end power i hear lots of people talking about that what is it

i will be keeping the bike for about 3-4 years before i get a new bike i am 12 years old and 4.9ft and about 45kg

Piston and rings. You may be able to find a local guy that will rebuid it for you now & then, It is very easy for a mechanic to do less then a couple of hours. Being a 03 it is time to do it.

(if your just going to tinker around on it play ride etc. you will be ok with spreading the time out awhile).  

Keep your fuel mixed correctly, Use good MX 2 stroke oil, clean your air filter every time you ride, & use filter oil. These things help alot.

Usually consists of piston ring, piston and in some cases the barrel to be drilled or replaced, this means you need to put a bigger piston if its drilled to bore out any scratches

An 03 model should have had a few rebuild by now

Top end: This means your speed at the top end of the throttle, maxing out the bike in simple terms

Bottom end: This means the bike acceleration, how quick it is in the lower end of the throttle, in simple terms if a bike has good low end power you dont need much throttle to get going fast

Look, eventually youl need to rebuild the engine, you said youl have the bike till around 15 10hrs a week, after the first rebuild you will know how to do it everytime.

IMPORTANT:: make sure you watch who ever rebuilds the bike and take notes!!!

All the rebuilds after that will be cheaper because you buy the parts and do it, not a shop
