Is the above message legitimate and forwarded by Yahoo! Or is it a new way to rip-off ?

I have received similar msg on my cell. I believe its a scam

No. It is a scam and spam. Do not respond and don't click any links in the email. You can tell it is not from  Yahoo! Inc. because emails from the company all come from an address ending in @yahoo-inc.com. (Anyone with a Yahoo! account has an email address ending in @yahoo.com.)

I had also received sms on my cell but the difference from yours is the email bcoz they gave this email : [e-mail]
