Question:

Yahoo 360 and Strangers called "Friends"?

The first time I logged into 360, I had a handful of "friends". Four of them I know.. but some of these others are strangers, totally unknown to me, I have never spoken to them, and some have handles that would prompt me to IGNORE them (dammit, I *have* a boyfriend, no I do NOT want to meet you, and isn't that word obscene!?!?!) - yet they are my "friends" and I can't get rid of them!!

WHO added them as my "friends"? More importantly, Who do I need to bribe to get the functionality working to get rid of them???

Nevermind, I'm just removing the plugin. Consider this post another rant on my part about the robots that run Yahoo!. (I am personally convinced that no actual humans work at Yahoo!.) I am disappointed with 360 - but then I suppose it's about what I should expect from Yahoo!.

  1. 360 has been abandoned by Yahoo.  They're spending their time supposedly developing a new platform to replace 360.  That's part of the problem.

  2. At the moment 360 is totally unsupported. I urge you and everyone you know to please read and sign our online petition to save 360!

    http://www.petitiononline.com/keep360/pe...

  3. I really don't know what is going on in 360. That is weird. You can go click on My Friends at the top and it should list them all and click remove that is beside their name. Hope that works. That's how you normally delete friends off there.

  4. You know what .. I think I would take this bit seriously if I were you.. If you already had 4 people on your page when you first logged into your pages .. even though some were already your friends.. this is something that should never have happened!

You have total control on who is listed on your page as a friend to you.

If they have put you on their favorites list so they can get the homepage feeds to your blog.. then you need to do some serious cuttage here..

The first thing you do is this.. the people who are actual friends.. you need to make sure they are listed as invited and accepted into your friends list.. go to the Friends option and check their status.

Then you need to shut your privacy settings down to Friends only.. they can't see doo dear if you go from the comments on the top page all the way to your blog and shut it down to Friends only.. they might get the update on their page.. but they will not be able to see anything but your friends list and your id picture..

    They will go away soon..
