Yahoo Answers vs research?

Question

why do sooooo many people ask objective questions on Yahoo Answers, then sit around and wait for the mostly mindless banter, when the correct answer is two minutes away on a web search? :)

I dont understand when they can google everything they ask and actually get a more educated response..lol

objective questions are asked to gather a set of answers based on mentality of the users.

the answer or atleast their opinion is already formed.

the question is designed to gather other opinions.

it would be ridiculous to assume that everyone would rather y!a complex problems rather than questioning sources.

this is a good place to get community sepectrum views

but no likley to get actual research

however there are the elite few

not naming any

that very much know what they are talking about
