Yahoo Chess Problem?

Question

When I get on it says:

You have an old version of the client in your cache

You will need to restart your browser,and come back and restart the current version

If restarting doesn't work manually clearing your browsers cache should fix the problem

What's a browser,cache,and client? How do I fix this?

I'm not smart w/ computers so be very specific.

I've been in Answers long enough to know that Yahoo chess sucks.  You've discovered that for yourself.

I've been working on this problem for the last few hours and think I may have solved it. I'm assuming you have the windows xp operating system and I think that is the start of the problem. First you may have to clear your cache. Go to the yahoo chess site but do not enter.Click on "New Chess FAQ" and click on "I've played yahoo games on this computer before, but now it's not working." Then click on "follow the directions" for manually clearing your cache. It's a simple three step problem and they tell you how to do it. Hope you have no problems there. Do that first. Then, go to your start menu and click on the control panel option. In the address line go to the c:\ prompt, then click on the program files folder - then click on the yahoo folder - then click on the messenger folder - and finally click on the cache folder. Look for an icon that says games - double click on it - what I got was a popup that said something like java scripting was not enabled. Change the scripting to enabled. That did it for me. Hope this works for you to.
