Yahoo ID / Groups Question?

Hi there. I have a question. If my or any Yahoo account were to be completely deleted, does that mean that the groups I created get deleted along with it too? I'm just curious, and if so, how go I can about it? Anyone have an answer? ( I have an old Yahoo I.D and I can't possibly log in anymore )

Basically, I want to delete a group I made, but I can no longer log in that old Yahoo ID to do it. It would be greatly appreciated.

this would only affect your ID/ account, not your groups- groups are not deleted when owners ID's get deleted and there's many groups out there like this.

hard to say if Yahoo would delete it for you, you'd have to prove you were/ are the owner

The groups will still exist and depending on how they are set up people will still be able to post messages to the group.  I have seen a lot of groups taken over by spamers when a group becomes inactive and owners/moderators abandoned it.  It is a shame because it does nothing but eat up bandwidth that other people could use.

  I suggest you contact yahoo support and explain the situation to them and see if they can provide any help.

It happened to me, and the group lives on in some but not all cases, it depends on how many members.  Once your id in it are deleted there is nothing you can do for the group.  You can complain to yahoo load and hard, they might give back you account and groups, they did mine..
