Yahoo Jamie set to stand first in Standard Trophy
Yahoo Jamie is all set to seal first position in the high-profile contest of the Stadium Bookmakers Standard Trophy that will be held at Nottingham racecourse on Monday night, May 7. The action is scheduled to start at 19:48 (GMT).
On the flat track of 500 meters, the C. Lister-trained black dog will run against Slick Seahawk, Mays Harvestmoon, Killacolla Pedro, Newmarket Flyway and Fabulous Affair. A prize cheque of £200 will be distributed among these runners.
Despite being a non-favourite runner, Yahoo Jamie poses to be the strongest contender for the Standard Trophy title. Since the dawn of 2012, the five-year-old veteran hound has been enjoying great form. He has achieved a number of glaring feats during this
period.
After winning a big race on January 23, the dashing dog went ahead to accomplish two classic triumphs in the month of February. The brilliant sprinter elegantly registered a victory along with a runner-up rank in March.
April was again a successful month for the maverick dog who earned three iconic conquests with big margins.
This outstanding success streak has hiked the talented hound’s confidence level such an extent that he can upset any ace event.
If the son of Droopys Vieri out of Droopys Perlena runs with an offensive approach and keeps his winning impetus intact, his chances to finish first in the Standard trophy will be as high as 93 percent.
Killacolla Pedro and Newmarket Flyway are also likely to do well tonight.
Killacolla Pedro owns a fair track record. The P. Ward-trained black dog excellently won five races in a row from February 8 to April 5, 2012. At the moment, he is carrying immense form.
On the other hand, Newmarket Flyway bagged a couple of consecutive triumphs in February 2012. R. Gray’s black dog proceeded to win a race each on March 26 and April 26. He too looks to be strong enough on the card.
Though the competition will be greatly rip-roaring and challenging for Yahoo Jamie but the genius dog is likely to manoeuvre success to his favour convincingly. Good luck to him and all the other hounds.
