Question:

Yahoo Mail Beta is great, the new "My Yahoo" beta version is not?

I tried the new "My Yahoo" home page beta version because I love the email beta version that's been out for awhile now. The capabilities of the new version were so limited that I switched back and took Yahoo's survey on my opinion of the new beta. Looks like a lot of unhappy people. Anyone else notice they are starting to discontinue certain modules in the old version; ex. the TV schedule? Anyone else found a good TV schedule for local channels in specific zip codes that can be edited?

  1. I agree. The My Yahoo! Beta is horrible. I had to switch back after only about 5 minutes.

But I don't miss the TV schedules; I've been using the listings at zap2it for several years: http://tvlistings.zap2it.com/tvlistings/...

  2. I personally like the new My Yahoo beta... just my opinion :-)

  3. I switched back too because it is way too confusing to me also i head trouble getting into the new version i always had ERROR MESSAGES. I DID NOTICE that the TV listings were still there but they are having problems with it right now.

  4. I went in yesterday and followed a link on the TV Schedule page in the my.yahoo beta to update my tv scheduler (seems to be best to go thru the select your favorites even if you don't limit your display to them) and it is working fine now...I really like the easy one click way to switch between "now" and "prime time".

FYI, in general, I'm just the opposite...I hated the mail beta (mail viewing screens too small, ads too large and intrusive) so switched right back, but, I like the my.yahoo beta now that I've personalized it alot and set up replacements for the missing modules.
