Yahoo Message Boards, Any Alternative?

Question

Anyone know of any altertative message boards or blogs related to current news or events? I used to read news on Yahoo News just about every day, but now without the linked message boards I don't bother. They must have lost a ton of consistent users. Oh well, if anyone knows how to sink a ship, Yahoo does.

Lots of Yahoo posters went to CindyBin forums, also there is a News Spank message board that just started with all the Yahoo current news, etc..
