Yahoo Mobile IM: Error - 36 Friend list doesn't exist : solution available for successful log in?

Question

I have an LG Voyager (Verizon service).

My Yahoo Mobile Messenger worked fine prior to upgrading to version 3.0.1.32

Verizon tech support initially stated it was a problem with my Yahoo ID, however I have no problems with my yahoo on any other device.

Verizon then required my yahoo ID and password to create a work order, yet never followed up (it has been several weeks now).

I'm in that same situation.  So I switched out phones and it worked for approximately 3 weeks.  No it came up as the same error.  Please advise me if you figure it out.
