Yahoo! Music LaunchCast - No sound on my radio station?

Question

I cannot hear my LaunchCast radio station.

I am not blocking cookies or pop-ups. The player appears to be functioning properly but there is no sound.

I have checked the usual - I have nothing muted, the speakers are on etc. If I select videos in Yahoo! music I'm getting sound from those ok - just nothing from LaunchCast.

Any ideas?

Try deleting your internet cache and your cookies that relate to Yahoo Music and Launchcast (or delete all your cookies, if you prefer).

If that doesn't work, try reinstalling Windows Media Player.

Make sure your firewall or anti-virus aren't blocking the music stream (the ads can come from a different URL).  I know of one person whose anti-virus was preventing Launchcast from playing.

Those things seem to fix the problem you are describing most often.

Have you rated any artists, songs, or albums?  If not, I'm thinking that you don't have anything in your radio station.  Go to http://music.yahoo.com/launchcast/statio... and see what you've rated.  If there's nothing listed, then you can add artists from there.
