Question:

Yahoo TV listings s******g up again?

I thought the several broadcasting channels at the top of my TV listings were gone. And then they came back. AND please don't say "go to edit..." because I've done that 10 times. They were there even when I opened my account, and I don't know how to get rid of them.

And now it won't even update the channels on the TV listings on my yahoo page, even when I change the channels in "edit".

I've emailed them about 5 times, with no help. And you can't call unless you want to cough up money, so that is out of the way. I'm very frustrated with yahoo.

Can you have Zap2it or any other TV listings on your Yahoo! page?

  1. I'm having a similar problem. I switched cable providers so I wanted to update my channel lineup. I clicked 'edit' in my My Yahoo! TV module, chose the new provider from the list, and chose all my new channels, and hit 'save' and then 'done'. But when I link back to My Yahoo! my module has the same old content. When I tried to edit again, I saw that all the correct information was selected, but it won't transfer to my module! Why not? Very frustrating.

Meanwhile, I found this instruction: "If you are seeing an error in your My Yahoo! TV module, but the same error does not exist when you look up the same channel line-up on Yahoo! TV, then please visit the My Yahoo! help section to report the problem."

This describes my problem pretty much exactly, but when you click the link they provide to the help section, it does not provide a way to "report the problem" as they say they want you to do. Just a bunch of FAQs.

  2. I've had similar problems.  The only way I could come close to getting around it was to add a bookmark for the TV listing page to My Yahoo.  First you have to make sure you have added "bookmarks" if you don't already have it.  Then add the URL from Zap2it or TVGuide to your bookmarks.  It will open in a new window and not within the My Yahoo page but this is as close as I could get.  I hope this helps.

  3. You me and lots of others, can spend a fortune on

help as they give no one any satisfaction.
