Yahoo advertisement!?!?

Question

When I'm reading news from the yahoo pages, why are there so many crazy advertisements with distracting animations? It completely takes my focus from the story. I do know the answer...but is there a way to rid my pages of this. AND, do any of you out there feel the same!????? It just gets on my nerves!!

And I just saw a "dancing alien" on another advertisement. Lord have mercy!!!!! What will they think of next, I wonder?

the only way to get rid of ads such as these is to pay for your yahoo service the free email and such will be bombarded with ads. and yes it is nerve racking to say the least.
