Yahoo answers an improvement over message boards or to silence the masses?

Question

Do you think yahoo really closed the message boards b/c of abusive posts, slander etc or do you think it was b/c somebody didn't like the idea of people communicating with one another about news stories? I know it sounds like a conspiracy theory but conspiracy theories are sometimes true. What do you think?

its yahoos way of seeing how they can control a forum such as a message board, by setting rules this way they can control it from the start, the message boards really got wild and crazy

Everyone is going to talk about news stories no matter what form of communicating it is. I really don't think they closed it because of that.

I think you mean Forum whatever it doesn't matter  I"ve stopped going there because of insults from a regular down there he'll never leave he's too afraid of abuse reports on answers  Yes Answers is better  Thanks

to silence us,but was the lawsuit over the message boards too. i believe answers will be next to go. lot of strange things here.

if the boards never come back,i may never know if exsited really did report me to the FBI.
